Mad Hallelujah is a band of funky mystics who have been touring the globe for over four years, sharing their all-original music at numerous festivals & venues across three continents.
Innovatively weaving together elements of folk, rock, psychedelic jam, funk, bluegrass, and tribal music into their own unique sound, Mad Hallelujah features big three-part harmonies, infectious hooks and grooves, soaring instrumental jams, and seamless genre transitions. Always engaging, they offer audiences a hearty invitation to sing along and dance like mad.
The group was originally formed as a collective of busking troubadours in New Zealand in 2015 as “Mad Hallelujah Tribe.” They have gone on to record four albums, headline festival stages, and embark on multiple tours in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the US, earning a dedicated following along the way and a reputation as ecstatic dance-floor igniters, crafters of deep musical journeys, and crowd favorites at festivals, music clubs, and intimate venues alike.
Mad Hallelujah is currently recording their most in-depth album to date and planning an extended U.S. tour in summer and fall 2019. Stay tuned — lots of announcements and new media are brewing!
Matthew Human makes music for the simple life and what’s really important: clean food and water, food shelter, love and community. His music could be listed somewhere between The Eagles, Kenny Chesney, and the Grateful Dead. A beloved veteran of the West Coast underground music scene, Human has over fifteen years of live performances and nine studio albums under his belt. He is fresh off a tour in Costa Rica, where he also practices permaculture and leads workshops.

The Palmo Center presents Tibet Night, Celebrating a Culture of Peace during the August 2nd Art Walk, at Whirled Pies on 199 W 8th Avenue.
The event will feature a talk on Dharma and it’s integration in Tibetan culture by the Venerable Tulku Jigme Rinpoche. It will be an evening filled with meaningful conversation and inspiring art, including a Thanka masterpiece painted by HH the Dalai Lama’s Thanka painter. Come enjoy Tibetan music, art, and the silent auction which helps support the Palmo Center! Together we are keeping the art and culture of Tibet alive!

The Beat Crunchers are fresh, funky, and live. They get the booty shaking and keep it shaking with their mighty Brazilian percussion and exuberant horns. The Beat Crunchers take you on a breathless tour of the world’s best dance parties, Afropop to Balkan to Cumbia. This is a band that turns everything it touches to a divine rug-cutting boogie-down, be it a childhood cartoon theme song or a funked-up Rachmaninov prelude. The Beat Crunchers resist boxes, and enable you lovely dancers to do the same.
With a newly minted 6 piece band, this experimental pop artist crafts his music to grab your attention and pull you in. Alec’s songwriting toes the line of complex layered intricacy with accessibility. A Boston native and nationally touring artist, Alec is gearing up to embark on his first international tour later this year to promote his newly released album, Reactions. Co produced and engineered by local sound wizard Dephrase, this collection of works features several prominent Boston based artists and transports listeners on a sonic adventure through genres, sensations and emotions, all while maintaining a rich textural tapestry that is both entrancing and stimulating.
