Caroline releases her 2015 and 9th CD: BROKEN WINGS HEAL with special guests Emily Saliers (Indigo Girls), John Keane (GRAMMY nominated producer and musician), Michelle Malone, Ike Stubblefield (Legendary Motown B3) and Randall Bramblett (Bonnie Raitt, Steve Winwood, Allman Brothers). A 2015 national tour opening for the Indigo Girls and Caroline continues touring the USA and Europe.
Caroline says, “I was moved at the age of 12, kicking and screaming, from the village of St. Simons Island, GA, to Long Island, NY, clutching a guitar and book of songs. Claudia Paige is a highly-sought-after drummer who has played with premier musical artists of the 21st century, including Jerry Garcia, Linda Perry, Bonnie Raitt, Tito Puente, Benny Rietveld (Santana), Narada Michael Walden (Aretha Franklin), Randy Jackson (Jean Luc Ponty) Hollis Gentry (Stanley Clarke), Ray White (Frank Zappa) and many more. She has shared the stage with BB King, Ben Harper, George Clinton, Tower of Power and more. Claudia has a very eclectic drumming style, incorporating hand drums from around the world into her drum kit. Raised on swampy funky blues and a love for music from around the world, Claudia weaves together world fusion rhythms, with a funky groove in her “solid in the pocket” feel to the music. She can add that “magic” to your next studio production or live performance.
Claudia has over thirty years of experience in live performance, recording and music scoring. She has been sponsored for international tours by the Cannes Film Festival, Berlin Loft Concerts, and the United Nations and has performed in eleven countries and forty-eight of fifty states in the U.S. Claudia toured the country and co-composed music for the San Francisco Mime Troupe, a Tony-Award-winning theater company, for several years. She has also played drums and percussion for the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
Claudia is a published BMI artist as well as an independent recording artist. She has worked with many renowned recording studios, such as Motown Records, Capitol Records, Fantasy Records, Skywalker Sound, Lucas Films, the Record Plant and Russian Hill Recording. She has also appeared on television on Comedy Central, PBS and many local San Francisco stations. Claudia’s drumming has even been used in several indie and full feature films.
Claudia moved from the San Francisco Bay area to the Pacific Northwest in 2016. She quickly built a solid performance reputation and now plays regularly with several well-known bands and singers/songwriters. In addition, she is recording throughout the Pacific Northwest and continues to tour with the Druid Sisters, an African Celtic, Gypsy Band she founded in 2003.
