The Beat Crunchers take you on a breathless tour of the world’s best dance parties, Afropop to Balkan to Cumbia. This is a band that turns everything it touches to a divine rug-cutting boogie-down, be it a childhood cartoon theme song or a funked-up Rachmaninov prelude. With a newly minted 6 piece band, this experimental pop artist crafts his music to grab your attention and pull you in. Alec’s songwriting toes the line of complex layered intricacy with accessibility. A Boston native and nationally touring artist, Alec is gearing up to embark on his first international tour later this year to promote his newly released album, Reactions. Co produced and engineered by local sound wizard Dephrase, this collection of works features several prominent Boston based artists and transports listeners on a sonic adventure through genres, sensations and emotions, all while maintaining a rich textural tapestry that is both entrancing and stimulating.
